    Like many other reviewers I wish the base/stand had been signed rather than the cardboard box. That was disappointing. However, I like the piece very much and have it displayed as a centerpiece in my cabinet of curiosities.

    Something told me to make sure I picked up this piece of art. So glad I listened to my instincts on this one! Looking for display options and best ways to preserve (shadow box, display case, etc.). This way I can still admire it without damaging it.

    I purchased as a gift for my husband for our anniversary. He loves it! Our oldest daughter is over the moon over it, they both love the piece. The best craftsmanship and art have been put into this piece, it's amazing. He ordered a display case that allows lighting options to accentuate it even more. I'm definitely not an "art" person but this is a piece of art!

    Thrilled to have this piece and the band signatures! Not really a collector of things like this, but I got a cool display box with a rotating base for the skull. My daughter thinks it's the best family heirloom we have. I'm just proud of my major award!

    I agree with Pittman. But I will say I bought the skull specifically to resell and make a couple bucks to help support my terminally ill wife. I'm having a hard letting go of the skull because it is so beautiful.

    Overall I am pleased with the Fetus In Skull Maquette. The quality is definitely there but I was really expecting the autographs to be on the skull or stand. The autographs on the box are sick and the skull displayed next to it looks awesome. Hey Maynard, Danny, Adam and Justin, how about a signing to allow us 515 buyers to get the base signed? Wishful thinking on my part! Tool has been my favorite band since 1992, keep the music coming and the autographed merch.

    I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they should have signed the stand instead of the Box. I just got my unsigned and its half the price, minus an autographed box that will never be displayed. Someone dropped the ball on the autographed version......

    I am pleased with outcome of the project but really dissapointed that the BOX was signed. I would not have paid 1000$ knowing ahead of time the box was going to get signed. I LOVE TOOL BUT PEOPLE DESERVE A PARTIAL REFUND ON YHIS ONE.

    What can I say? I was so excited to get my signed, limited addition maquette. Absolutely incredible piece! Just stunning. Even the packaging was exceptional.

    Stunningly beautiful piece designed by my favorite artists. Packaged very carefully. Take caution handling the skull to place on the stand. The gloves provided can make a it a little slippery.

    Tool are such a class act. Each member is an artist and professional in their own right. Together they are the best example of artistic expression, through any medium, in generations. As a band/institution/brand/cult/etc. they surpass Zeppelin, Floyd, Grateful Dead, etc. TOOL are the GoAT. All that being said, the skull lives up to the standard I have come to expect from such an amazing group of individuals. The skull itself is packaged in an exceptional way; custom tool logo stenciled Styrofoam, Velcro straps and white gloves provide protection for the piece. The box that it comes in is very high-quality and adorned with the latest visual artistry that compliments the skull and stand. The box could be displayed on its own w pride especially if you have the signed option with the band signatures on the front of the display/storage box. Yeah, it’s from China. Who cares? What isn’t? Swiss watches, Italian fashion, and American muscle cars will have “China” written somewhere on in or around it. It’s the way it is. China does make some very high quality products and the skull, stand, box, protective packaging and shipping box are all of the highest quality.

    I am very pleased with the fit and finish of this piece of art. It looks even better in person. The whole package is well done and a truly special collector piece for the avid TOOL fan.

    I loved almost everything about the skull. The packaging, from the box it's packed in to the molded foam packing, everything is first class except for the autograph placement. They're on the box. What are we buying? A crystal skull to display. The sawblade skull display should have been autographed, not the box. I'm not going to display the box. I'm disappointed I paid double the price for an autographed box thats in my closet.

    The quality of everything was excellent. The signature colors look great in contrast with the colors of the box. Every detail was thought through and appreciated.
