Amazing sound. If you’re old enough to remember the Maxell cassette tape ads with the dude in the chair sitting in front of a speaker with his hair and tie blowing back, that’s how I experienced this album on my first run through on vinyl. Sonic heaven. To hear details like Adam Jones turning his guitar volume down from crunch to clean, and to notice the very human inconsistencies of the knob turning, it was like Tool was playing in my room. Special thanks to MusicToday for replacing the accordion like package that I first received that the Post Office had customized. Had to wait a bit longer to play this masterpiece, but MT customer service took care of me and this album was well worth the extra wait.
