Tool is proud to present another fine art offering - 'The Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture.' Inspired by the 10,000 Days and Lateralus album artwork(s) by Alex Grey. Each collectible figure is cast in Polystone, individually hand painted with realistic details, and hand numbered - making each unit similar, but distinct from the next.

The Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture is a beautiful and unique piece of artwork capturing realistic details in full 1:1 presentation. Serving as a larger, more finished, version of the previously released Maquette study. Similar to the Maquette, the Life-Size Sculpture is for the Tool fan collector meant to be appreciated; but also to invoke thought, introspection, and conversation. Special accents can be found throughout the work including the third eye flame painted in full color spectrum which serves as a touch sensor on/off switch for a red flashing LED beating heart effect within the fetus.

This hand-numbered collectible is limited to 2,100 units. This unique collectible unit will include three components, each individually numbered with a matching sequence of XXXX/2100 to ensure authenticity, collectability and value, today and well into the future.

The collectible units include:
  1. Hand numbered Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture
  2. Hand numbered Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture Custom Art Box
  3. Hand numbered Fetus in Skull Life-Size Sculpture Certificate of Authenticity
The base art is screen printed with seven colors. The art box and COA are printed with foil paper hits. Please use supplied soft cotton gloves for safe handling.

I bough5 the life size skullw/fetus. 1st i couldnt say no once i saw the price was slashed, 2nd im bummed i missed the signed ones even tjough i woukdnt have been able to afford it, and lastly wow, wOw, WOW i am so stoked. To not only have a TOOL memorabilia piece, but the touches of Alex Grey's art on the base, and the craftsmanship displayed on th3 fetus and the attention to detail is just magnificent!! This thing is not just a collectible but a wirk of art!!! I am so happy that i was smart enough and then lucky enough to get 9ne of these. It has a special place in my tattoo studio, right behind me so everyday while im working i can toych the forehead and make the fetus's heart beat!!! What an amazing piece!!! Highly recommend!!

I've wanted this piece for a while and I finally purchased it. It shipped quickly and it did not disappoint any expectations I had. This is a must have for any Tool/Alex Grey fan. The band and the artist are synonymous to me when it comes to certain imagery. I couldn't be happier with a purchase and I would suggest that anyone that's considering adding it to their collection to make the purchase. I collect life size anatomy models and surgical tools and this has added to my collection along with intertwining my favorite band into my hobby.

The piece of art is amazing, I always wanted it since seeing the picture in the 10,0000 Days album. Unfortunately when I received it, it came damaged. But the customer service was absolutely amazing and replaced it at no cost and quickly!!! Worth every penny and the customer service will take care if need.

Amazing, look at it every day, an authentic artwork contemplating life and death, it reminds me life is short, and to not waste a second on the trivial, but focus on trying to become more creative.
